Antique Persian Bakhtiar Oriental carpet 10 x 7 for sale in Rockville, Maryland

Antique Bakhtiar carpet from southwest Iran, circa 1910, dimensons 10 feet 3 inches by 7 feet 3 inches. Excellent graphic design with large, classic medallion and wide white borders with flowing palmettes and vines. Interesting color variations. Even overall wear consistent with its age, but has good pile on entire surface, and there are no tears, fold lines, holes, foundation or knotheads showing, or damage of any kind. Professionally cleaned, ends and sides maintained. Purchased in 2002 from dealer in Hamburg, Germany. At an average retail price of $50 per square foot, this carpet would cost you at least $3,500 from a dealer's gallery if you paid cash.
